Nevado Ecuador. S.A.(NE)

OBJECTIVES:

The expansion of 40.000 m2 with more rose plants and with it the consolidation of an already functioning rose-plantation up to 440,000 m2.

DESCRIPTION:

Situated at 140 Kms south of Quito, Ecuador, the Nevado Ecuador (NE) plantations consist of 180 has of farmland. On these farms NE has, so far, constructed 40 has. of greenhouses with a now functioning production of roses, post-harvest facilities, cooling rooms, offices, ample reservoirs, etc. The production started in January 1998.
NE currently employs about 500 workers and 20 administrative personnel.

SUSTAINABILITY:

The farm administrators have been and are actively involved in the rose industry since 1965.
